Stunt Position Terms
Base(s)- The person(s) holding the weight of the flyer.

Flyer- The person who flies! AKA the one not afraid of heights.

Spotter(s)- The person(s) who helps the flyer get up into the stunt, helps catch and never takes her eyes off the flyer. However, a spotter cannot hold any weight because then she would be considered a base. The spotter is also responsible for all counting. She is the ONLY person who should count.

The Lib
This stunt{above) is called the Liberty. Once you get the hang of this one, some of the other stunts will come a little easier. Here's how you do the Liberty:Using their legs, the bases should push flyer up. Once the flyer is half way to extension, let go of the flyer's left foot and hold the flyer's right foot. Finish the press and lock out your arms. The right foot of the flyer should be over the base's nose. Flyers, as your pressed up, lift yourself. When your foot is released, pull it into the Lib position. The Lib position is where the flyer is standing on their right leg with their left leg pulled up. Their left thigh should be level and their left foot should be against their right knee. The flyer's arms should be in a high V.
  The needle
The needle is a difficult stunt for the flyer because it requires a lot of flexability. the flyer must be able to do the arabesque stunt almost perfectly to do a needle(aka scale) the needle is where the flyer does the arabesque, but instead of having her hands directly out to the side, she must grab the knee of the leg that is lifted and try to lift her leg up even higher. The back has to arch a lot in this stunt! Check out the pic to get a good idea.

Stunting.
REMEMBER: Stunting can be VERY dangerous, so don't stunt unless you have a coach or an adult who knows what you are doing. Always make sure EVERYONE knows what you are doing before you stunt.
